It was a long week last week, combining some long drives and client appointments with the fact that the trusty purse-sized DSLR I have used for the past year finally quit on me. So in addition to the usual work, I've been researching phone camera apps, consulting with repair guys, and also researching new camera possibilities. Oy!

But back to the clothes, right? Last week sent us a mini heat wave in Los Angeles, which provided a great opportunity to test out these cat mules! I wanted them to stand out but still be balanced by other details, so I kept all the other accessories to a similar scale.

These boyfriend jeans are also baggier than they used to be, so I would have preferred to go without a jacket and keep the top half of my frame sleek - cool winds necessitated a topper, however, so I went for a cropped piece that exposed the waistline.

I had been searching for the perfect mules since last season, and thankfully mules/slides/slippers are big again for Spring/Summer 2016! Of all the new looks with which to experiment, I think these are the ones I'm most excited about.

Cuz yeah. Cat Mules!
