I know we're smack in the middle of a week 'o Body Type tips and tricks, but I've got a very early client appointment and have to do a much speedier post - so in the meantime, please enjoy this gratuitous outfit post! ;)

Aside from the culottes and ankle straps, this ensemble isn't particularly Spring-like or trendy, but everything about it makes me ridiculously happy, and sometimes that's all that counts.

I love the way the deep red plays against the soft brown, green, and bronze. It's very difficult for me to wear pastels without feeling washed out, so it's fun to soften a bold color with earth tones like this.

It may not make me think of tulips and Easter eggs, but I like to imagine that this is what Spring looks like in some faraway, exotic land or alternate dimension (my sister did recently say I live on another planet...).

We'll be back with more figure flattery ideas tomorrow... but for now, let's all set the guidelines aside and take a break from the rules!
