Transforming Mobile Office on Wheels!
One of my clients recently asked me to help her find an upscale, feminine alternative to the traditional Ugly Black Laptop Bag. And while there are a good variety of women's briefcases out there, my client had a combination of practical requirements which made the hunt a bit more challenging. Her bag needed to:
- Hold her laptop, tablet, daily notebooks and files, water bottle, and the occasional project or presentation binder.
- Coordinate with a variety of outfits.
- Double as a carryon for business-related travel.
- Offer a rolling option for when her files get too heavy.
- Offer a shoulder-carry option for less-intensive meetings in smaller venues like coffee shops.
McKlein USA was one of the only companies we found that offers professional-looking, real-leather bags which actually feature completely detachable wheels. My client and I absolutely love this feature, since it means that the wheels and handle neither add weight nor take up valuable space in the bag when it is carried by hand. Another valuable convertible element is the removable padded laptop sleeve - perfect for quickly and easily switching my client's laptop from the briefcase to a more casual tote bag.
We also fell for the Glen Ellyn model in particular because of the wonderfully functional compartments. Aside from the padded laptop sleeve, the bag boasts a conveniently padded center pouch (perfect for a tablet), phone and pen slip pockets, a large compartment for non-laptop office materials (like files, notebooks, etc.), and a large size front pocket that will be super handy for in-flight reading materials. It should also fit under most airplane seats.
If you hate boring ballistic nylon, dread having to change out your bags, or just need a sturdy, versatile home for your laptop and office materials, give McKlein a look! They come in a variety of cheerful colors and styles.
Neither my client nor I are affiliated with McKlein USA or Ebags. We paid the normal list price for this item and will generate no commission from this post.
