30%+ Everything at J. Crew

Everything is on sale at J. Crew until April 29th - 40% off sale, 50% off final sale, and 30% off everything else. This is another great time to stock up on some out-of-the-norm suiting and warm weather basics.

Click through the Polyvore for my favorite suits, shells, and shoes.

Linen

Regent Blazer - hooray for a cotton lining! Some reviewers find the cotton lining uncomfortable, but IMO that's because this blazer is NOT meant to layer over long sleeves. When it's that hot, you really don't want to wear a full shirt, and polyester linings will stick to your sweaty bare arms. This is the perfect thing to layer over sleeveless dresses, shells, and tees.

Full-length Pant - A high-rise linen pant with a wide leg. After so many years of skin-tight skinnies, this pant is on trend and a welcome change.

Boat-Neck Tee - I love linen tees for how they drape, and this one is covered enough for an office with a modest neckline that will look totally un-tee-shirt-like layered with a blazer.

Longer Length Shorts

7" Chino Shorts - As their name states: a 7" inseam.

Harbor Short - Slim leg with a 7.5" inseam

Bermuda Chino - Straight leg with a 10" inseam

Cuffed Bermuda in Linen - Wide leg with a high waist and 7.5" inseam. Keep in mind that leather stretches over time. Wear this one with slimmer shirts tucked in to avoid volume overload.

Sleeved Dresses

Double Stripe Cap Sleeve Dress - ivory with black or pink stripes, hits at the knee

Short Sleeve Tweed (actually more like a cap sleeve) - pastel green, hits just above the knee. Also in solids.

3/4 Bell Sleeve - Different enough from a basic dress to be fun, but without being obnoxious. In blush pink, fiesta red, and black.

Long Sleeve Tweed Dress with Fringe - Actually a 3/4 sleeve, and the fringe is just the baby eyelash fringe found on most tweed. Hits just above the knee.
