Another Hotumn day, and I'm getting more and more jealous of you guys on the East coast and your Fall coats and boots! Thankfully I had another day indoors, so I could layer up the tiniest bit and trot out my moody floral shell.
I don't feel that I have a "flowery" personality, so I'm very picky with my florals. They have to be kind of abstract, painterly, or moody, and they always have to speak to me on some emotional level before I plunk down money to bring them home. This Tibi print totally fit the bill, marrying a melancholy blue print with a geometric grid and a dark background. I had to cover my arms for this event, so I paired the dark floral with this reptilian blouse... because this garden just might house some snakes and gators. :)
And the pulley necklace? Just a little talisman and conversation piece to help me "leverage" a bit more inner strength to make it through the long week. I love this thing so much because it was unbelievably simple and cheap, yet I haven't seen anyone else wear one before. It's my very own secret, subliminal message.
See you tomorrow, everyone! Friday is just around the corner now!
